We left for Rome on Friday, April 3. Jeff's dad was nice to drive us to the Charlotte airport so we would not have to leave a car at the airport for an extended period of time. We had an overnight flight to Rome, and we landed in Rome, Italy around 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 4.
As you can see, packing was a challenge. We each took one back pack and one carry-on suitcase. You will probably see the same outfits in our pictures, but we wanted to travel light because of all of the train travel.

My awesome co-worker and friend, Jen, was so nice to drive all the way to Charlotte to give us a big send-off...(just kidding!). Jen was leaving the same day to go to Houston for a college fair. She was really excited that she made our Europe vacation pics!
